今回はモルテラッチ氷河が景色になるボヴァル山小屋へのツアーの紹介だ。モルテラッチ氷河はピッツ・ベルニナ山、ベラヴィスタから流れるグラウビュンデン州最大の氷河だ。ボヴァル山小屋にはモルテラッチ駅から谷の脇にある登り道を２時間ほど歩くと到着する。山小屋から氷河の眺望は格別だ。氷河がだんだん溶けていて小さくなっても、とても美しくて印象的なビューだ。 
モルテラッチ氷河は18世紀に駅のところまで届いていたが、だんだん氷河が溶けて後退していく。ボヴァル山小屋の道より谷の道を一時間ほど歩いて氷河の先端に行けば、途中に1878年から今までの測量記録が年代とともに記載された標識があり、氷河がどのように小さくなっていったかよく分かるようになっている。どんなに速く溶けていくのか自分の目で見たら、びっくりするよ・・・または痛感される・・・

The hike up to Boval Hut from Morteratsch Station is an easy one and only takes 2 hours. Much of the way leads along and on top of the glacier moraines (mind-boggling to think that the ice reached up to here at one time) and the harsh rock and ice views are awesome, especially at the end from the terrace of Boval Hut with the top of the glacier and Piz Bernina right in front of you. Morteratsch Glacier is melting at an alarming pace, but for all that it´s still a very impressive glacier. In fact, it´s still the Canton of Grison´s biggest glacier.
In the 18th century, Morteratsch Glacier reached down to the station, but since then it´s been melting and retreating yearly. It takes more than one hour walk to reach it from the station. Information points along the way inform the walker how far the glacier reached 100, 80, 60, 20 years ago, and impressively illustrates how fast Morteratsch Glacier is melting away. If you want your children to see a glacier, you´d better hurry up...

The access road to Alp Mora is closed to private traffic, but from beginning of July to beginning of September a bus runs from Trin to Purcs on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The bus focuses on bringing the valley children to school and back (or so explained the bus driver). Round tour hike from Gumen, Braunwald, over Bärentritt and the Karst plain

Keep a look out for rare flowers, e.g. Edelweiss.   ツアーマップ・LINK TO HIKING MAP 4時間のT4レベル。深淵に沿った狭い道が好きな人向けの アルパインツアーだ。山の春（6月末～7月初旬）の時のブラウンヴァルトのグーメンは素晴らしい景色だ。色とりどりの花が咲き乱れ、中には植物学者を魅了する珍しい花もある。これまで3回もグーメンの道を歩いたことがあり、毎回植物学者の研究グループに遭遇した。周遊ツアーだから2回もこの素晴らしい花の道を歩くことができる。ベレントリット（「熊の歩み」という意味）への登りは岩壁の間を通り抜け、ベルゲテンセーリ湖が眼下に広がる非常に露出度の高いものだ。垂直を誘発する岩の道は、「普通の山道」として白赤白のサインで示されているが、標識に疑問を抱かせた。きっとこれはT4に分類される白青白のサインの山道だろう。ベレントリットを下るより登る方が簡単だ。下がったらかなりアドレナリンが出るだろう。上空の果てしなく続くカルスト地形の石原の端にある道は、時には
