定期バスは6月中旬から9月中旬までしか運行しない。その期間中でも運転数が少ないから、必ずスケジュールを確認してください。定期バス運転期間が過ぎていたので、有料のシャトルバスを利用した。一人当たりではなく、乗車ごとに料金を支払うから、人数が多ければ多いほど、一人当たりの料金は安くなる。雪が降ると、雪崩の危険があるため、谷に入る道は完全に閉鎖される。事前にドイツ語や英語で電話で問い合わせて予約するのがベストだ（Oberems-Grubenバス業務の電話番号：+41-27-932-15-50）。
The regular bus only runs from mid-June to mid-September, and even then not very frequently. I used the paid shuttle bus since it was past the season. You pay per ride, not per person: the more people you are the cheaper the cost per person. Once the snows come, the road into the valley closes completely because of avalanche risk. It's best to call ahead to inquire and reserve your space (Busbetrieb Oberems-Gruben phone number: +41-27-932-15-50).

5時間のT2レベルのトゥルトマン渓谷パノラマコース。前夜はオーベレムス村のホテル・エムスホルンに泊まった。オーベレムス村のゴンドラ駅とバス停に近い便利な場所、食事もおいしく、値段も手ごろなホテルだ。渓谷の入り口に位置するオーベレムス村には一年中人が住んでいるが、渓谷の人々は夏の間だけ滞在し、初雪が降る前に去っていく。渓谷に入る定期バスは止まっていたが、少なくとも冬の雪が本格的に降るまでは、タクシーのように借りることができる。バスの親切な運転手がグルーベン・マイデン村のシュヴァルツホルン・ホテルまで送ってくれた。谷底の電波の悪さを指摘しながら（「スイスコムの電話を持っていますか？ここではそのプロバイダーしか使えませんよ」）、歩きが終わりに近づいている時に電話してねと相談してくれた。ホテルを通り過ぎ、谷側をまっすぐ登った。前日に2022年の初雪が降り、山の頂上は真っ白だった。谷側には霧が立ち込めていたが、パノラマトレイルに到着して間もなく、太陽が顔を出し、トゥルトマン渓谷とその端にある氷河、そして周囲の白く覆われた山々を見事な色彩で照らし出した。赤いブルーベリーの茂みと緑と金色に輝くカラマツの色が鮮やかに浮かび上がり、夢のような光景だった。幸運なタイミングが嬉しくて、微笑みながらパノラマ・トレイルを歩いた。氷河に近いトゥルトマンダム湖までトレイルを辿り、ここでその日最初の2人のハイカーに出会った。運転手に前もって電話し、バスと同時にグルーベン・マイデン村に着いた。

5 hour T2 hike on the Turtmann Valley panorama trail. I spent the night before in Hotel Emshorn in Oberems, a decent and affordable choice with good food, conveniently located near the Oberems gondola station and bus stop. Oberems, situated at the valley entrance, maintains its year-round inhabitants, but the valley people only stay in it during the summer season and leave before the first snow. Although the regular bus into the valley had ceased, it can be rented like a taxi, at least until the winter snows really hit. A nice gentleman from the bus company drove me to the Schwarzhorn Hotel in Gruben-Meiden. He told me to call when I was done, pointing out the bad reception on the valley floor ("Do you have a Swisscom phone? Only that provider works here."), and left me to it. I went past the hotel and straight up the valley side. The first snows came as early as beginning of October in 2022, it snowed the day before my tour. Fog kept creeping up the valley sides, but soon after I reached the panorama trail, the sun broke through, illuminating the Turtmann Valley, the glaciers at its end and the surrounding white-capped mountains in stunning colors. Surreal! The colors of the red blueberry bushes and green-golden larches popped, all in all an absolute dream for photographers. I was so happy about my lucky timing that I walked the panorama trail with a perpetual smile. I followed the trail until the Turtmann dam lake close to the glaciers (where I encountered the first two hikers that day, I was alone until then) and walked back on the valley floor, after calling ahead for the bus to pick me up. Worked out perfectly, the bus drove up just as I came back to Gruben-Meiden.
